In my blood I feel the bubbles burst
There was a flash of fist, an eyebrow burst
You've a lazy laugh and a red white shirt
I fell to the floor fainting at the sight of blood

Did I see you in a limousine
Full Name; Rabastan Maux Lestrange
Nicknames; Rab, though he only allows certain people to call him that.
Birthday; Feb 14th, 1960
Slytherin Aquarians are lucky. They have inner drive, determination, and great ambition; they also have brilliance, cleverness, and an almost total disregard for "what everybody thinks," which means they can go for their dreams without caring if other people mock them or consider them strange. More introverted and full of social conscience than the average Slytherin, these wizards are easily overlooked socially (by fools), although they excel in the classroom and eventually become great wizards indeed. They are stubborn and will not back down without a fight if challenged
Age; 26
Bloodline; Pureblood
Affiliation; Death Eater..mostly
Alumni; Slytherin
Wand; 12 inches, maple with a combination of unicorn tail hair and dragon blood core.
Maple, whose motto is "Combative Angel" or "Independence of Mind." Maple individuals are far from ordinary and never completely satisfied with standard replies. They admire those who clearly assert themselves and rise eagerly to any challenge. Maple people are full of imagination and originality, inclined to stand out in a crowd due to their willpower and sense of commitment. Though appearing shy and somewhat reserved, they are truly ambitious, proud and self-confident. Maples hunger for new experiences and have a desire to impress. They enjoy what is unknown, strange and even hostile. The inherent Maple need for independence often clashes with the need to be surrounded by a community. With a tendency to be nervous, Maple people have many complexities. They possess excellent memories and easily learn new things. The love relationships of Maple individuals tend to be complicated affairs.
Academic Record; He was the top of his classes and was quite smart. Rab received 5 O.W.L.'s and 4 N.E.W.T.'s. He also was the Slytherin Prefect in his 5th and 6th year.
Quidditch: A Chaser on the Slytherin team though he was never really fond of it. It was simply something to do to keep him occupied.

Flinging out the fish and the unleavened
Home; He's a nomad!
Mother; Ellan de la Fontaine.
Ellan was the daughter of the heir to the de la Fontaine line, she grew up knowing that she was the most important thing around and she never lost that feeling. She was never in love with Crion, in fact if she was asked she would inform you that she never loved anyone called Lestrange. She was kind enough to her sons allowing them to grow up as they wished but she never went out of the way to be a mother. Children just were not her thing and she left most of the mothering to nannies and elves.
Father; Crion Lestrange.
Crion was the younger son of the Lestrange line and so he cared nothing of how things worked out for his life. He married the woman his family forced him to marry, but that didn't mean that he was in love with her. Crion spent most of the marriage sleeping around in other women's beds but refused to ignore anything that his sons did. Crion was around for their first words and steps and on most nights, the three Lestrange men could be found out in the backyard playing football in the gardens.
Siblings; Rodolphus Lestrange
Heritage: French on his mother's side; French and Irish on his father's side.
Other family: Bellatrix Lestrange, and by way of her, he is related to the Malfoy and the Black family.
Relationship; Rabastan got along quite well with his family and though they cared little for him. His family had their own problems and Rabastan was taught to keep his own to himself. It wasn't to say that his family didn't love him, it was just that they didn't love each other. Rabastan and Rodolphus were the family to themselves while their parents did what they could to keep the Lestrange family name from falling into disgrace.

Turn the rich into wine
Financial Status; Bloody wealthy and could buy and sell anyone he wanted.
Background; Rabastan Lestrange was born into a family where his path was already chosen for him, and he has been fighting it ever since. He was a rather normal child growing up, nothing that exciting happened in his life until he was three. Rodolphus being nearly two years older than him cared little for Rabastan until he was able to speak and even then it was sometime before he even gave Rabastan a chance. It was this year that Rodolphus and Rabastan became actual brothers as opposed to two people that occupied a house and were told they were related but didn't really understand. Rodolphus began teaching him everything he would need to know. Or at least everything that Rodolphus thought he needed to know. From learning the beginnings of the French language to just how to steal that last biscuit from the tray with out the elves or Mum noticing, they bonded.

Though, it wasn't always Roddy and Rabby the bestest of best pals. There were the times when Rabastan would go rushing off to Mum to tell on his brother holding his eye and trying to ignore the fact that tomorrow it would be large and purple. The times where stuffed bears just happened to end up on fire and the one time when the younger Lestrange got his head stuck in one of the railings on the stairs and was left for six hours before Rodolphus returned to get him out. He didn't really show any sort of magical blood until later in his childhood, Rabastan was a late bloomer. By the time he turned seven, he still was just able to prod at things with his wand and sometimes it would turn out how he wanted it to. Glaring over at his brother, he noticed that the little bastard was already doing Transfiguration at a Second Year level, he was somehow able to light the cuff of his brothers trousers on fire. The household wasn't sure how it happened as Rabastan slowly walked out of the room and away from the small fire that was still sitting on his brother's leg. The truth came out a day later when Rabastan told of what had happened and he had expected to be punished for it, but to his surprise Rabastan was given first pick of biscuits after dinner, this honour usually went to his brother because of the simple fact that Rodolphus was older. For the first time, he got the raspberry tarts.

Time flew and finally he was alone in the house with his parents. Rodolphus went off to school and to do whatever he did while he was at Hogwarts and Rabastan went further into trying to just get better at what he did. He was still somewhat hopeless with a wand, getting better as the time went on of course but nothing was quite as good as that first time he did magic. Though, that wasn't the only thing that Rabastan was able to do. For some reason, Rabastan got thoughts. He couldn't explain them, nor was he really sure why he got them. It wasn't that he was seeing the future or seeing how things turned out, he just got a feeling about things. He also discovered he was rather good at hide and seek as long as he wasn't actually looking for that person. Having a large family tree full of cousins led to a hectic time at holidays and no matter who all was there, they always hated letting Rabastan be it. He just tended to stumble across the people hiding. Though, it was never in the order that he wanted to find them in.

By the time Rabastan was put on the train with his brother to Hogwarts, Rabastan was still fumbling with most wand work, but he wasn't too worried about that fact. He knew he would pick it up eventually or he just wouldn't do it. He wasn't about to be worried about something he couldn't control. Though, he hadn't needed to even think of that because after his first day of classes, Rabastan was close to being perfect. He knew he wasn't the greatest at any class, nor was he at the top of his class, but he got things done and he charmed his way into the hearts of those around him. The Lestranges were able to do what they wished to do while in school. They considered themselves the Kings of Slytherin, even if many people thought them not to be. They spoke in French more often in those days knowing that people were trying to listen to them while they spoke and so they considered it their own little code. It wasn't perfect but it worked.

Rabastan kept up his studies and was at times his family worried that he was should have been sorted into another house. His nose in a book seemed to be how he was found in the common room. It wasn't that he was studying for class, he was studying things that interested him. Rabastan had a deep craving for things that were not taught in school, and not all of those things fell into the Dark Arts. It was true that this family was fond of them, speaking of them over family dinners, keeping a good library of the books, and of course being the kind of family that was always supportive of the purity of blood. Rabastan fell into the trap of listening to his family and believed it himself, though something wasn't quite clicking as he felt it unnecessary to hate someone based just on blood. He pushed the whole thing to the back of his brain and left it to another time.

Trying out for Quiddich purely for the reason that he didn't have anything better to do, Rabastan was astounded to find himself actually playing on the team. As a Chaser, Rabastan became even more the center of attention even if he didn't want to be. He tended to stay in the shadows behind his brother staying far away from things like people and peanuts but Rabastan knew he couldn't aways stay like that. So, he finally accepted himself as more than just Rodolphus's brother and started actually acting on his own. He wasn't very much into the dating scene while in school, or at least it was how it appeared on the surface. It was true that he had a few girls in school obsessed with him, but he never acted on it, or at least in the open. He followed his father's example and kept all relationships private. He felt no need to share with everyone who was currently occupying his bed and his dorm mates thought the same. It wasn't Rabastan who would say that various members of all bloodlines made it into that room, to everyone else he only appeared to sleep with those of pure blood when he knew there were at least a few muggleborns in there as well.

It was the same year that he started Quiddich that he became a Prefect, he wasn't sure how he ended up with the honour, he wasn't the best choice either but Rabastan felt it was simply because he just seemed to be the one to run into the students out after curfew even if he wasn't trying to get anyone into trouble. He took this seriously, Rabastan felt it necessary to keep the trust placed in him by the school and so he did what he could to live up to being a good Prefect. Though, that isn't to say that if Rodolphus was missing one night or two Rabastan would tell on him. There were just some things he didn't feel like explaining.

With Rodolphus gone the next year, Rabastan simply kept his head down and continued to do everything he was always doing. Quiddich went well, Rodolphus showing up to his games as his family fell apart. It wasn't really public knowledge that the Lestrange family was separated, their mother being in Paris and their father being in Bath with Roddy floating around Monaco at most times, but it was whispered about in society when the Lestranges tended to show up at occasions at different times. Rodolphus and Rabastan cared nothing of what was to happen to the family, their parents having acted this way for years now, it was nothing new to them.

He graduated with nothing special to fall into, offers of a few professional Quidditch teams wanting him to play, nothing serious really from any of them and so he turned them all down and decided to become what most Purebloods did, a lazy bum. He sat around the Manor, which ever country he tended to be in at the time, smoking cigarettes and reading again. His brother got him to join the Death Eaters, it wasn't a demand that the little Lestrange join with the group, it was more implied that he should and that it would be the best thing for him. So, with a slight reluctance, Rabastan took the Dark Mark on his arm and light a cigarette wandlessly and sighed wondering what the future would hold for him now that he had made this choice.

Though that is getting ahead of the story. Rabastan is much more than just a Death Eater, much more than just a Pureblood. He is Rabastan Lestrange and there are things that must be discussed before he fulfills the destiny that was laid out before him. He graduated, yes, he got marked, yes, but that wasn't his whole life. He resists the idea that he must conform to an ideal and for that reason only, he ran away. It wasn't the typical teenager running away from things that he didn't know how to control, it was the idea of escape. Rabastan had always hated being boxed in, being told what to do and being controlled. He sailed away from the home in Brighton, the one that was in his name, left to him by his Cousin Johan. He never wondered why that was but he and Rodolphus took the boat and got a small crew of people that he could trust. Of course that required pulling from the native collection of sailors and they ended up with a boat with muggles, but for that summer, it didn't matter to either of them. The Lestranges were going on an adventure. It took most of the summer to get to Norway, why Rabastan had decided on Norway was a question that seemed not to be answered but it was fun. He had grown up around boats, his father had allowed him the simple past time of taking the small boats around the coves in their home in Ireland. The summer spent on the water tanned his skin and made his hair lighter. He looked nothing like the pale Englishmen he had left behind, it made him happier. It distanced him from those that wished to be like Rabastan. For that he enjoyed his time in Norway.

Walk on the mean
Personality; Rabastan tends to follow his heart more often than his head. A quiet boy with really no need to be out of the house at all times, he would rather enjoy a night at home than out dancing in the newest club in town. He can get nervous quite easily and when he worries about things to an extent he will stop eating and force himself into near starvation until he can work out what exactly has gone wrong. Though that doesn't mean that he has to be in control of everything, it's something he likes though. Rabastan likes being able to see all sides of a puzzle before starting to put it together. He will research something until his eyes hurt before he puts his name to something. He must know things and if he doesn't, he will learn them soon.
Though, the French part of his blood comes out quite often. He is a charmer, one that lets people believe that he loves them very easily even when he doesn't carry those feelings. A trinket here and there, a bundle of flowers and a carefully chosen word are Rabastan's trademarks. He was trained from a very young age how to make people like him and he uses that to his advantage even if it is just getting information out of someone. Even if he appears to care nothing of what is going on around him, you can be sure that he is listening. Able to remember things fairly easily, Rabastan has always been able to pull things from his memory and recite them back as if he was reading it from a file.
Rabastan loves the water, the sea air and the movement of life on the beach is where he rather dreams of being. He also tends to collect things from people, a small trinket from each person or place he runs into. He has stories of where he got each thing he owns, a little story or a long drawn out history of a native culture. He knows everything he can, or he does try as had as possible to know.
Fears; Rabbits and other small creatures like that. He also fears peanuts because he is allergic to them.
Habits; Rabastan doesn't like to answer questions. Most often if he is asked something he will simply state 'perhaps'. It can be quite annoying but it is just a part of him. He also smokes packs of cigarettes daily but is never seen with a lighter.
Mental Health; He lives up to his last name.
Boggart Form; A rabbit.
Patronus; A hawk.

Face & Complexion: He is slightly tan with an otherwise perfect complexion. Rabastan does keep a bit more scruff on his face than usual feeling it a little unnecessary to actually shave at times.
Distinguishing Features: Nothing more than the Dark Mark and a few moles. He does have a strange design on his chest, though it is rather small around the size of a galleon.
Dress Style: Rabastan wears what is considered Muggle formal wear and for the most part wears button up collared shirts and dress slacks. But always in dark colours. Though, he adds quite of bit of other things on his body, rings, necklaces, things of that nature.
Possessions Always On His Person: Cigarettes and his wand, and now that he feels he is old, he carries a pair of black framed glasses but hates to wear them. He also carries Snookums with him everywhere as he feels it only necessary. A blue bead on a silver ring on his right middle finger, a yellow stone on a silver ring on his left ring finger, a small shell on a dark leather necklace, a piece of lace around his left wrist and a torn black ribbon that has faded in places around his right wrist. The black ribbon was from his first girlfriend Anne, the lace from an American girl named Alexandra that was on holiday in the island years ago, the pale pink ribbon is from Delilah's pillow case from when he took her to Milan, the dark blue ribbon is from Inka's shoes, the jade ring from Fei stolen from the end of her dagger, the yellow ring is from Lux, a girl he met in Norway, she was wearing a yellow necklace.

Sexual Orientation; Straight

Turn Ons; Rabastan likes what he can not have, those that have slipped through his fingers and those that he feels like he has to prove that he can be with them. A challenge and someone that will take him down a few pegs will always make his heart flutter. It doesn't hurt to be beautiful as well.
Turn Offs; Even though he carries the Dark Mark, that does not mean he only sleeps with Purebloods and so his only real turn off is a girl being too easy. He doesn't like the easy shag.
